Project Brief
A full refurbishment of a third-floor apartment within a prestigious Victorian mansion block on one of Kensington’s most sought-after garden streets, delivering a high-specification home befitting its prime W8 address.
The flat was stripped entirely back to shell, allowing the layout to be fundamentally reworked through structural wall removals to create a more open, considered flow between rooms. From there, every element was built back to an exacting standard. A bespoke kitchen, new bathrooms, and custom joinery throughout, with all M&E and services replaced in their entirety and a new air conditioning system installed.
Working within a lived-in mansion block brought its own demands, requiring careful coordination with neighbours and the building’s management. PepperBuild also handled the Licence to Alter applications directly, managing the consent process from end to end and keeping the project on programme.
The result is a meticulously finished apartment that makes full use of its generous proportions and address.
